# Billing and plan in the Didit Console

> See your plan, balance, usage and receipts in the Didit Console, top up by card, turn on auto top-up and set the billing details printed on receipts.

Didit's **Billing and plan** pages show your plan, your balance, what each check cost and the receipts for every charge.
Open them from **Settings > Organization > Billing and plan**.
The page has four views: **Overview**, **Plans**, **Usage** and **Receipts**.

One balance pays for the whole organization.
It pays for every product and every application, and Sandbox checks are never billed.
For plan prices and what each plan includes, see [Pricing](https://docs.didit.me/getting-started/pricing.md).

## Overview

The **Overview** shows your plan, your credit and balance, auto top-up, billing details and your payment method.

* **Credit and balance.** Your current balance, the credit your plan adds each month, and any credit that is about to expire with its date.
* **This month.** What you were charged for live checks this month, broken down by check. Select **View usage details** to open **Usage**.
* **Next charge.** The amount and date of your next plan charge, if your plan has one.
* **Billing details.** The company legal name, billing address, tax ID, VAT ID and billing emails printed on every invoice and receipt. Owners and billing admins can change them. Invoices already issued keep the details they were issued with.
* **Payment method.** The card used for auto top-up. Add, change or remove it here.

## Top up your balance

Select **Top up** to add credit by card at a secure checkout.
A top-up is added at face value, from $50 to $10,000, and it pays for every product.
For the same limits through the API, see [Top up balance](https://docs.didit.me/management-api/billing/top-up.md).

Your balance pays for checks in this order: this month's plan credit first, then your oldest top-up.

Organizations on an annual plan do not top up in the console: your account manager adjusts the balance.

## Auto top-up and low balance alerts

Auto top-up charges your saved payment method and adds credit when your balance falls below an amount you choose, so live checks never stop.

1. On **Overview**, open **Auto top-up and alerts**.
2. Enter the balance that triggers a top-up and the amount to add. Both must be whole amounts within the limits shown in the dialog.
3. Make sure a payment method is saved. Without one, auto top-up cannot be turned on.

You can also set a **Low balance alert** that emails you when your balance falls below an amount you choose, even with auto top-up off.

If a charge to your payment method fails, auto top-up pauses and the console shows a banner.
Update your payment method to turn it back on.
Until then, live checks keep running on your remaining balance.

## Plans

**Plans** compares the plans and lets you change yours.
Your current plan, its monthly credit and the date your plan month ends are on **Overview**.
Enterprise prices come from your contract, and the **Plans** view links to the Enterprise calculator.

## Usage

**Usage** lists the live checks of the month with the number of units, today's price for one check and the amount each check was charged.
Use the **Environment** control to switch between **Live** and **Sandbox**, and **Export** to download the table.
Sandbox shows no usage because it is free and unlimited.

Phone verification, database validation and company registry checks show a further breakdown by country, because their prices depend on the country.

## Receipts

**Receipts** lists every top-up and plan charge, with its status, **Paid** or **Failed**, and the reason a charge failed.
Every charge is taken upfront by card, so there is no invoice to pay.
Open a receipt to download it as a PDF.
