Database Validation verifies user data against government and authoritative databases. Each country exposes one or more services, and pricing is set per service.
You are charged for each successful query based on the selected country and service. Pricing below is the default per-query rate; volume discounts available.
Database Validation is not covered by the free tier. The 500 free checks per month apply to ID Verification, Passive Liveness, Face Match 1:1 and Device & IP Analysis only. Every successful Database Validation query is billed from the first one, inside a workflow and through the standalone API alike.
The table below is the authoritative rate for every service. Rates are set per service, not per country, and they follow what the underlying source charges — most services cost under $1.00, but some authoritative registries cost considerably more (Kenya National ID, ken_national_id, is $3.15, and the most expensive specialist sources reach $7.00). Budget a country from its own row rather than from a headline range.

What counts as a billable query

You are charged once per service, per query the source actually answered — not per session, and not per country. A session that runs two services against the same person is two charges. The rule behind the table: you pay for the registry answering, not for the answer being the one you hoped for. The only free queries are the ones that never reached the source, and the ones the source never answered. Every row below is keyed on the outcome_code the service returns.
